    Okay, you've got to tell me how this works for you because I've been toying with the same idea, and once I figure out how to do the cover art, I'm seriously thinking about it.

    Hi Maria,



    To answer your question, it is super easy. To start, your completed book needs to be in a word processor format such Word, WordPerfect, rtf, or ASCII text.



    They recommend you don't number the pages or use any fancy formatting and fonts (bold, underline, italics and centered text are okay), because it'll all be ignored in the conversion.



    Whether you go through Amazon's Kindle or Smashwords, the cost to upload is free. They only take a small percentage of the sales, and you get to set the price. It works out in both places to about 75%. They do require your mailing address, phone number, and SSN or EIN for tax reasons.
