Lol... yeah, you have to love those generational things, huh? That's ok, my husband still teases me about Fabio!

Thanks for commenting about my pic, I'm thinking about using it for my book since the publisher wants a pic of me for the back and I really don't photograph well up close. Like you, I like your pic as well - which dam is that in the background?

I wish I wasn't a neatnik; it really drives me -- and my kids and husband, I'm sure -- crazy. The only way I can avoid the pitfall is to let everything go to hell. I did write a poem about that once. I think I liked the hell; I should revisit the poem. Your son, the neatnick, and I could have things to talk about! :)

Hi Carol: That's funny. One of my favorite things to do when visiting a new town is to go to the library. I like to check out the papers and read what you reporters are reporting! :)

Speaking of romance novels, wouldn't it be kinda fun to write one. My girlfriend who has a PhD in psychology and who teaches at a well-respected university writes romance in her spare time. Her first juicy novel will be published soon. It could be an interesting hobby.

And about memoir: I have mostly written about my grandparents through the stories I write about my parents. I've only ever known one of my grandparents, my maternal grandma I told you about who is in Italy with the cats. My mother's father's story has a tragic ending so I never knew him. My dad's parents were stuck behind the Berlin Wall. Lots of fodder for stories there, but I've mostly written abut my dad. It seems that when I start writing memoir, it all turns out to be about the father. I really, really want to pick these up again. I'm having a hard time finding time. How do you deal with putting things aside to find tiime to write? I think it's something all writers struggle with.

Thanks Carol. This was taken from my deck on a stormy night a few years ago. And which dam are you standing below? Looks like a big one. Santee-Cooper perhaps?

Carol, your cat Emily is beautiful. She looks a lot like my family's cat when I was young. His name was Liesel, a girl's name but we didn't know he was a boy at first, or maybe my sister insisted on the name. I guess I can't remember. Your Emily sure looks happy and content on her perch overlooking the yard. And the picture of the kittens playing is adorable too.

Thank you for that comment about the dolls. I understand children having a fear of certain items . Honestly, I never thought about an adult having a fear of something like a doll based on a real life experience like the one you described especially after reaching adulthood. That opens up a new avenue for me and Rebecca Daniels, (the character)
