Lost Due to Poor Data Management

Wednesday, September 2, 2009, 04:11 PM EST [General]

Tragically, I lost about two years of work when my hard drive crashed and my backup, a small flash drive, was nowhere to be found. It is, to say the least, disheartening. There are bits and pieces hanging about - old files, printed chapters, very old and outdated backups on other media - but the depressing fact is that I am going to have to create the whole damned novel pretty much from scratch. I have tried several times and given up each time. I just don't seem to have it in me.
