Hello All.
I've started a group on food writing here and I'm hoping it becomes a thriving community of people sharing ideas, markets, information of any kind referring to the art and business of writing about food.
By way of introduction, I am a freelance food and wine writer, as well as a chef and restaurateur. My restaurant, Devotay, has been thriving in Iowa City for nearly 12 years. I write a weekly wine column for our local paper called "Table Wine" and also write regularly for Grist.org, Gather.com, Little Village Magazine, The Iowa Source and many others.
My new book, A Cook's Journey: Slow Food in the Heartland, has just been released.
