Description: Nanowrimo.com is the home of National Novel Writing Month. Put on by the Office of Letters and Light, a non-profit group out of San Francisco, CA, Nanowrimo puts out an open challenge to write 50,000 words of new fiction in the month of November. No entry fees, no editing, no kidding! Just write and write! I've met some fabulous people through Nanowrimo (I belong to NanoBoston) and I'd love to meet some more Wrimos through WritersMarket! See you soon! Belynda

Description: Art vs. Entertainment Although these things can be one in the same, I believe books are divided by their focus. Some authors (especially those writing in the literary genre) write for the art of writing. Their books are filled with symbols and are nuanced/deep/etc. This is a group for people who care about the entertainment. People who care about the story itself, and are not worried with symbols or themes or literary elements. Examples I would point to would be the Zamonia books by Walter Moers or James Rollins' Sigma Force books. These are pure stories. While there may be morals/symbols/etc. in the book, it is plain that the author's main goal was to entertain. To sum up, this is a group for those of us who write to entertain, not for those of us who write for the Nobel Prize.
