...I'd suggest you check out my free access Poetic Asides blog over at http://blog.writersdigest.com/poeticasides. It's pretty much the coolest poetry blog that I've ever done (and, well, the only poetry blog I've ever done). And now that I've told you about my poetry blog, maybe you could tell me (and other subscribers) about yours.

I really don't have a poetry blog, but I like what you have done at your site. http://blog.writersdigest.com/poeticasides

I do have a website, with a blog:

http://www.margaretfieland.com

I earn my living as a computer software engineer, but I still turned to C. , my middle son, to put up the first version of my website. I got the site, then drew a complete blank on what to put up. C. had used wordpress for himself, so that's what he used for me, and since wordpress is primarily a blogging tool, I had a website with a blog. I've modified it a fair amount since, including downloading a new Wordpress Theme to modify how the site looks.

I don't have a blog -- am new to even reading OTHER people's blogs -- so am, perhaps, not a good source of info for this, but I'll offer my 2 cents worth anyway.  I have been ( a late-comer) participating in the PAD challenge on your Poetic Asides web site and have been thoroughly enjoying myself.  Because I started late, I'm still scrambling to get caught up, so my reading of other's entries is somewhat sketchy & limited, though I hope to be able to get to that once I get on schedule.  I also wanted to say thanks to you for coordinating the whole thing.  It's a great idea!

One thing I like about the format on Poetic Asides is that ALL the poems relating to a specific day/topic are viewable in a single stream.  (It's nice not to have to bop in and out of multiple screens to read all of the entries.

One thing I DON'T like is that all of the COMMENTS are ALSO strung (and intermingled) in the same day/topic making it extremely difficult to know which comments correspond to which poems.  I'd love to respond to comment(s) I think might be addressed to me -- but how do I know that the comment is not actually meant for another person of the same name who's entered a poem that appears above -- or below -- mine??  It's rather confusing.

If I could have my 'druthers, I'd KEEP the single stream entry method for the POEMS that pertain to the topic/day, but add a COMMENTS button for each poem, and funnel all the comments that relate to a specific poem into a separate area for that poem only.  Just a thought!

Thanks again!

Pam

I don't have a poetry blog, per se, but http://www.valeriansgarden.com is my website, and a 'companion piece' to the main characters of my unpublished manuscript.

The main character is a rock singer, and the website has the lyrics to all the songs on their three released albums.

Not all of them are very good, but I started it up before I had any thought that I'd write a full length book about them, it was really just to give some additional fleshing out to the band itself.

As per my book, http://www.valeriansgarden.com/comeon.html is the band's breakout single, though http://www.valeriansgarden.com/spyders.html is probably my favorite so far.
