Very exciting stuff!  At least to me! One of my novels: Where are the Cocoa Puffs? has recently been accepted by the small publishing company, Goodman Beck Publishing.  It will be available in 2010, if all goes according to plan.  This is the third of four novels I have written.  My most recent one, set in Belize, Central America, is being edited by the very wonderful and talented, Lorna Lynch.  I will  soon be querying it around as well.

Where are the Cocoa Puffs? follows a family through the tragedy of mental illness, but it's not tragic. It’s funny, sad, and thought provoking -- and as real and as raw as mental illness itself. As eighteen-year-old Amanda spirals into mania, her father, psychiatrist Dr. Jerry Benson, sees the realization of his worst fears: his daughter is not just moody, but truly ill. With his words, his diagnosis -- manic depressive illness -- his world and that of his family is forever altered. This novel is, at its core, my own personal journey. Our older daughter was diagnosed four years ago with bipolar disorder. Our other beautiful daughter was diagnosed with schizophrenia two years ago. Both are in recovery and doing extremely well.

I will keep you fellow writers posted as to when this book will be available -- so that you can all buy a copy.  We must support one another -- we must especially support me!   Thanks!

Congratulations! Funny, sad, and thought provoking is something I like to read. Look forward to when it is available.

Glad to hear your daughters are doing well.

Wow. This hits home. I have a 19 year old nephew who lives with me, who was diagnosed with all three. After another hospitilization, he has been given the diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder. This is a combination of all three. I would love to know more about their treatment. I felt the need to have him here in a more stable enviroment. He seems to be doing well, but there is still a long road ahead of him. I would love to read this. I look forward to the release. Maybe it will give me more insight into helping him further. Sounds wonderful. I support you! lol Congrats!
