Where do we get our characters?

Oh, I like to feel "in the story", too! If I can't put myself "there" in the midst of the events I probably won't read another of that author's books. This is probably why so many mystery readers love the series books, don't you think? I love picking

    God's Box

When I recently visited CJ Rena's profile, I noticed he made refrence to God's Box and he said I would have to ask about it. So being who I am, of course, I have to make a mystery of it. Here is my solution to the 'God's Box' mystery. (Let me know if my solution is correct ,CJ.)

    God's Box (My version)

I have in my hands two boxes,

Which God gave me to hold.

I put all my troubles in the black box,

All my blessings in the gold.

    Once inside the two boxes,

All my blessings and troubles were stored,

The gold box became more laden each day,

The black one as light as before.

    Curious, I opened the black box;

I wanted to find out why.

I saw in the bottom a hole,

Through which my troubles could fly.

I asked, "God, why did you give me the boxes,

The gold and the black with the hole?"

God answered, "The gold is for counting your blessings,

The black for you to let go."

So now when my heart is so burdened,

My mind just can't seem to rest,

I put my thoughts down on paper

And I let God do the rest.
