There was an Earthquake in Washington DC yesterday. I don't know yet how big the shockwaves will be, but I hope they are long and fierce. I rode there with a group from Springfield, OH. There were some senior citizens, but there were also young families. Some left their children at home and some brought them. We left Springfield at 10PM Friday night getting to the DC area around 8AM. We marched on the Capital with our signs. We got back to Springfield at 4AM this morning.
People were there for different reasons. For some it was about Obama. For others it was about Nancy, Harry and the rest. For most of us it was the whole package in Washington. I remember in 2006, Democrats were swept into power on a "Republican Culture of Corruption" as I recall mainly because a Rep. Congressman sent dirty e-mails to House Pages. Now it appears it is a "Washington Culture of Corruption". The problem is conservatives won't support someone they believe is corrupt. Liberals apparently will, evidence John Murtha, Chris Dodd, Harry Reid, John Conyers, Charlie Rangle, and on and on and on and on.
I do hope Republicans don't assume this means it will be their turn to "take back Washington". It is time to get rid of the corrupt no matter what their party or politics. It is time for "big government" and "big spenders" to go no matter what their party. Every time Charlie Rangle stands in front of a microphone, he needs a large crowd shouting "Tax Cheat" at him so that he can not throw any more of his word vomit at us. Everytime John Conyers gets in front of a mic, he needs to hear "Read the Bill"!
But just because we are disgusted with Corrupt Democrats, that doesn't mean we want to replace them with equally Corrupt Republicans. And it is not up to We The People to prove you are corrupt. It is up to You The Politician, to prove you are not.

I concure and fully agree. What does one do when all are corrupt and they are the only ones on the ballot? For decades we have been picking the least of two evils, while they bribe each other with our money (pork spending). Isn't it time we had a choice? I want someone who puts the people first instead of themselves. And Presidents circumvent Congress by appointing Czars. Someone with honesty, integrety, and ethics would be nice but those people don't seem to run for public office. The constitution is being ignored and we are losing our rights.
