Dear Fellow Writer,
I appreciate all the feedback I have had during this process of trying to establish myself as a freelance writer in the magazine industry. I have had quite a bit of success and I owe a good deal of that success to the people in this community.
I have been working on trying to establish myself as an expert in the off-road community and have been granted an awesome opportunity to do so. A few reputable companies have provided the means for me to go on tour across the nation doing the first ever OHV Tour for a Cure. We are trying to raise funds for Cancer Research and raise awareness (not only of me as a freelance writer) but also for off-road issues especially relating to environmental concerns and satisfying many of the myths about the off-road community as we bring the nation together to raise funds for Cancer Research.
However, I need help in order to make it happen.
I want to establish myself here and then move beyond it to doing this same type of freelance writing work in different genres across the board. However, first I must follow through with the task at hand.
I have asked favors of many of you and many of you have asked the same of me. As fellow writers, we all always seem to work together to make miracles happen. I am asking each of you to take just a moment and help make this miracle happen for me and in doing so you will be helping many others as well.
Please go to my website and look at the “Tour for a Cure” page. Then find it in your heart to select one of the charities of your choice to support. The donations start at just $1. I know times are tough, but for some folks who are facing all the same struggles we all are, its even tougher because they have to add fighting for their life to the top of that list. Let us make their life just a little easier. Please take a moment and do the right thing.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best Regards,
CJ Rena Johnson

I just read your article on the Kawasaki - my kind of writing, great. Looks like it was a lot of fun also!
