So what's the deal here? This site was suppose to be discontinued three days ago. Is it out of business, or not? I wish not. It's a much better blog set-up than the one on Writers Digest. And I would not have made my recent purchase of the Writer's Market Deluxe Edition had it not included access to this now probably defunct blog site.

I entered a story that dealt with a couple who were trying to piece their lives back together after a serial murderer killed their daughter so I wouldn't hesitate to enter something that has an edge to it. Part of the reason I suggest this contest is that I do believe having contest wins on a writer's resume helps, but also, it put me into contact with an editor who wanted to see a book of poetry. I'm not saying that happens every time, but you don't know who is seeing your work and what could happen. Maria Rachel Hooley |

I have the same problem with the word Friend. But that's what's being used. I also don't like "friend" and "text" being used as verbs, but what can I do? And what's up with the no adult content? |
